You're acting like Reggie Miller was a superstar carrying those teams. In reality, those Pacers teams were an ensemble of good players who complemented each other well (kind of like the 2004 Pistons). They didn't rely on Reggie to carry them (and he wasn't capable of carrying a team by himself game in and game out like true superstars).

Reggie made 5 all-star appearances in 18 seasons. He never made the All-NBA first or second team, ever.
this is true, but i feel like its used far too often to denigrate his greatness. similar to this go to stat about the amount of baskets he had unassisted, which was low, in an attempt to say his impact was limited. if advanced stats were as big then as it is now i feel he'd be even more appreciated. he wasnt going to put his team completely on his back every night or clear out go one on one and make plays directly for everyone else, but he had superstar level impact on his team for a long time.

for every season attached to the 90's (11 seasons), his team's offensive rating with him on the floor was at least 11 points higher than their defensive rating. john stockton and karl malone were the only other players to be at least +10 every year during that span. then in the playoffs from 90-00, 8 of 10 seasons his team's offensive rating was +10 with him on the floor.

even his 96-97 season when the pacers missed the playoffs is a testament to how good he was. +13 rating with him on the floor that season, the davis brothers dale +6 antonio +2, the only other pacers players top 10 on the team in minutes with a positive rating. compare that to the bulls, all 10 players positive rating or the 8 seed bullets with 6 players.
