Got adopted into a family.. they been married 43 years , was married 15 years before they first child , my older brother.. They like best friends, really.. Both near retirement(mom really retired in 2007 but still works part time to help pay some bills).

I dont know many marriages that last 10+ years, but the ones I do regardless for better or worse, they work it out.. our generation is too fukked up to give it a legit shot..

I want what they have, but its hard to find it or not even sure if its possible to build what they have now because social media/cell phones (another story for another time..)

My father is a chauvanist pig and i really cant stand him. I hate his attitude towards women it reminds me of the guys i used to dance for. Im sure he cheats on my mom alot. Theyve been together 30 years though. I will say this when they fight my mom never backs down. That must be where i get my fiestyness from.

Moms been married 3 times.

Never to my dad tho. I'm a b*stard and I grew up thinking my sister's pops was my dad until I was bout 13. My real pops died when I was 6. He married my brothers' mom.

No real issues here. I had a stepfather the first 15 years of my life so there was always a male around.

Mom and dad were married for 8 yrs and had me before they divorced.

My mom never remarried because she is the epitome of a "single, black, independent woman who don't need a man for nothin" and low key is bitter from her past. Her career, money, lifestyle, ect are more important than a man I suppose.

My father remarried 3 yrs after the divorce and has been married since (20 yrs I think). He never had any more children so I am his only. Unfortunately I don't know very much about him since he was absent all of my life.

My parents pretty much haven't spoken since she took that ass to court for child support years go.

My folks going on 30 years this year...

Love them and they love me and my sister.


Never seen anything past a small argument but I know they've had their differences but still very much in love with each other and the church. (pops is a preacher)

Parents were married for over 25 years before my father passed away in 2000 and they were still head over heels for each other till to the day he passed away

moms and pops have been married for 37 years. never any issues (that i have ever seen). they are best friends. they came to the crib yesterday all happy and holding hands. i really admire them....

Never met my birth father, moms had me at 16 and he was 17.

Mom and stepdad been together since i was 3. Me and him are real close.

Birth father was a criminal, in and out of jail, shootings, drugs, robbery all that shyt, so moms kept me away from him. Don't know where he is now, but im sure he still living.

They're married for 28 years, almost 29. They went through some rough times especially when my grandma (pops mom) moved in with us. My mom and my grandma could never get along. But they always stayed faithful and loving to each other.

Their marriage is stronger than ever now. I basically see my parents as my rolemodels when it comes to dealing with relationships.


Hope to have the same one day God willing.
