I'm torn. I would give them a short term suspension not prosecute or expel. Principal is OD but how hard is it to not smoke weed before or during school? What happens if you go to work smelling like weed? We're raising a generation of kids not prepared for the real world because standards are so low now and they just get coddled excessively.
At this point it’s just common sense really, if you and smoke then you need a way to get the stench off before entering into a professional environment

Smoking before school, yea you don’t care about learning shyt. Expel is excessive but no problem with kickin em out or suspending.

Now the other kids dont have to drown in weed aroma during math class smh.

You dusty bums were annoying in HS. :heh:

:francis: This thread is something else. Our kids are being outperformed by latinos who dont even speak english as a primary language and everyone is outraged by what the principal is doing.

ive got a young relative with all state football skills decided he'd rather sit around with neighborhood kids and smoke all day.

Yes, so the solution is to give them federal charges

the principal is wrong but DOUBLY WRONG if theres no attempt at outreach to the community to help the kids with substance abuse problems.

I can understand why they would expel students, although I don't think it is the right approach.

As adults, we need to stop giving kids free passes because we did shyt as a kid. I remember being 16, I remember smoking weed, and I remember it being seen as taboo. Taboo in the sense that you knew you shouldn't get caught doing it.

Expelling the kids and getting the police involved is some cac shyt. Not need to try and ruin lives when the reason for getting pissed off should be concern over their development.

We should however go back to an understanding that substance abuse will not be tolerated so it is not normalised in their mind.

I look at some of my younger cousins and it saddens me. Weed is like water to then.
