Come to think of it, Allen Iverson was outplayed in every matchup during his run to the 2001 NBA Finals.

AI stans are gonna neg you but they won’t have an argument to disprove you. :mjlol:

Sixers got to the Finals because of their defense, not because AI chucking 35 shots on 38% shooting. Yet his stans try pass it off as him carrying a “trash” team.

AI can’t co-exist with other skilled players (Stackhouse, Igoudala, Melo, etc..). So the Sixers built the only type of team he could succeed with; a defense first team that allowed AI to chuck up as many shots as he wanted.

It’s no coincidence that 2001 was the only year that he had any playoff success.

I only have a problem with the "AI carried a bunch of bums to the Finals" narrative when ever this comes up. He deserved the MVP that season but that Sixers team also included the Defensive Player of the Year, 6th Man of the Year and Coach of the Year.

The 2001 Bucks also think so

The free throw/Foul disparity was not in their favor. Media wanted the Sixers in the Finals :wow:

They also had the number one defense and rebounding team that his skillset basically had no impact on the sixer's having
