Started with comics because of my mom she used to buy me them at like 2-3 years old. So I have her to thank.

Anime was at 3 years old thanks to my cousins from Canada.. first anime I ever saw that I can remember was Saint Seiya and fist of North star.

Manga came a few years later I was probably 5-6 I was visting my uncle in Paris and he'd have me watching City hunter and dragon ball.. they also sold the manga all over the place in frace so I copped a ton of Dragon ball manga and been hooked ever since.

I lean more towards Manga/ graphic novels these days... cut back a lot on the anime because most of it is trash now. I fukk with Seinen mostly. I do enjoy attack on titan and Ghost in the shell though (big shirow fan)

My local library had the first 2 volumes of Ranma 1/2. I borrowed those two books many times over the following years along with Iron Fist Chinmi. I also borrowed Crying Freeman which featured some nudity and sex scenes but I was pretty young and my parents had no idea I was reading something fairly adult and just wrote it off as a kids comic:steviej:

Later on I began to watch anime which then led me back to reading manga. The turning point was probably the fact that the Berserk anime didn't conclude the Berserk story. Right now I only follow Berserk, Bleach and Hajime No Ippo but I will probably attempt to get back into One Piece.

As for comics I started by reading Ed Brubakers run on Captain America which led me to me to read more of his work and look into other writers and IPs. I loved Geoff Johns' run on Green Lantern until the Blackest Night money grab by DC. At the moment I only really follow the Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips collaborations but will look into more creator owned IP.

Comics: My brother was a comic collector, so I would sneak and read some when I was a kid. He had some that was worth some bread too. I really became a fan when of comics and collected on my own when X-Men cartoon came out.

Manga: I started reading mangas back in 06, after I started watching Naruto and found out the manga was further along in the story.

A friend of mine in sixth grade showed me his brothers comics. He had that Infinity Gauntlet issue where Thanos goes a step down from god mode and fights hand to hand. After seeing Thanos smash Thor to pieces I was hooked. I think I stopped buying baseball cards altogether then. The first issues I bought were one where Spidey goes to get Venom to help against Carnage and a Chuck Dixon story where Robin (Tim Drake) faced off against The Joker. I spent pretty much all my paper route money on comics after that. I always liked to draw so it should have happened sooner.

Comics - I've liked comics for about as long as I can remember, to be honest. Remember even going to comic book stores as a little kid. I do remember liking Batman: TAS, X-men:TAS, Spiderman: TAS, etc. when they were new, so maybe that got me into them, but I'm not sure. Just always liked superheroes.

Anime - Probably DBZ got me in, to be honest, I was probably in middle school when they first started showing it in the US (the censored "next dimension" version lol). Was happy as fukk when it went to Cartoon Network and they started showing new episodes and censoring it less (was in high school by this time). There was some other shyt I'd seen sporadically (Sailor Moon, Speed Racer, etc.) but DBZ was probably the show that actually got me into anime. Obviously after that I started watching better stuff.

Manga - Well, sometime in... probably early in college I got into the Naruto anime because they were showing it on Cartoon Network. Eventually it got to the point where they started showing reruns, and somebody online suggested I hit up the manga. After that it was a wrap.

Dad worked at a Bindery Warehouse and usually they manufacture textbooks and novels, but they started doing mangas. He brought some of them home.
