When I said that in the early 00's on AHH, they unleashed the flutes on me. "I'm putting you on ignore." "I can't take your opinion seriously anymore." "There are certain people who should not talk about anything associated with hip-hop and you're one of them." I'm glad hostility toward that opinion has laxed overtime.

I actually kind of low key liked The Black Album over Reasonable Doubt too while we're at it.

DMX was the symbol of the rise of hardcore east coast street rap in 1998

50 Cent was east coast's last hurrah of street rap, and made a lot of casual listeners move to the south.
