I haven't listened to the clip or heard his reasons but I don't think its ridiculous for black people to be against vaccines in general. There have been too many instances of the medical industry not being right to black people for so many years that black people have a right to be skeptical.

It’s insane to me that anyone would choose the risks of COVID over the safe and effective vaccine.

Without the vaccine you have a very small risk of dying from COVID or having long haul symptoms. You have the risk of spreading it to others including the vulnerable who have a higher risk of death. You have the risk of a more deadly and transmissible variant emerging. Plus the longer we all have to live with some form of restrictions.

No one has died from the vaccine, apart from I think one woman who developed the one in a million blood clot side effect with J&J. The original trial participants are at a year or approaching it and there have been no long term side effects documented.

Not to mention it’s incredibly effective. 150 million people have taken it and what, 5000 people have had breakthrough infections? That’s amazing.

To say you don’t understand why “black people” are Anti-Covid vaccine because it’s not all vaccinations just this one in particular is really stupid and ignorant. Black people have every right to feel a type of way with anything regarding the American healthcare system and medicine

and talking down instead of finding a way to educate certain individuals is literally the same thing white doctors do to black patients when it comes to health (I’ve witnessed it too many times)

we really gotta do better with finding a way to not disregard each other and find a way to communicate to educate and uplift for change

These dudes sound like parrots when it comes to the vaccine. As you can see in this thread, people are calling Common, a conscious intellectual rapper, dumb because he does not choose to take the vaccine. So instead of saying, well he’s a pretty smart dude but I happen to disagree with his points and I’m pro vaccine, people jump straight to, look at this idiot. It’s funny as hell how passionate some people are about OTHER people taking the vaccine. Like if you wanna take it and think it’s important to take, then fine. But to do all this name calling and telling people they stupid and idiots for having any concerns and being apprehensive is extremely weird, gay, and disturbing.
