outside of the "rewind that" (which is a great tribute to dilla) i ain't really feelin' this
i can't quite put my finger on what it is but the album just don't move me like that. i like that it doesn't sound like anythin' else i've heard this year however that's not always a great thing if you don't think the music is good or great.
i think it's the lack chemistry between common's rhymin' and the beats. sometimes it seems like common ain't even tryin' to rhyme over them rather just around them. that's just my 2 cents though
i will say, this is by far his most interestin' album in a long time. it seems like he was really challengin' himself on this album to come with somethin' fierce
