What's making this 16 year old somewhat successful song from a moderately famous conscious rapper have numbers similar to albums dropped by modern K-Pop superstars?

Was it in a movie or show recently? Or tik tok? It is probably in all those “Jazz rap” type playlists tho and that’s a big hipster/I’m so cool I listen to boom bap jazz rap thing at the moment. It’s a separate genre at this point among a certain demo.
