I don't know why some are calling Common a c00n, because I saw the interview in its whole form, and what he was saying was, we as a country need to move on. I didn't see it as kissing ass, but, I knew that is how it was going to be seen as because people love to take things out of context, and argue. I'm scared to even talk to people about subjects in depth because for some reason, people hear what they want, and not what you are saying.
Anyway, "funky for u" is my shyt! This album and "to pimp a butterfly" kind of have the same feel. The funk mixed with hip hop, mixed the artsy vibe, has never really been done before this Common album.

I just don't get it. I bought this album the day it dropped hated it then and still hate it. Outside of 6th Sense and sometimes Doin It, i just can't get into this at all. Dudes really like The Questions and The Light? It's too hippie-esque for me. This and Electric Circus are horrible and by far the two worst albums in his collection.

This is the last legit good Com album. And he needed it because One Day was half light. Like he only went half crotchet on it. At least on LWFC he went HAM/Vegan with dope results.

Be (his best), Finding Forever, Dreamer/Believer, Nobody Smiling are hip-hop sounding albums. Those more or less resemble Resurrection. Like Water for Chocolate and Electric Circus are hippie albums, him trying to do Dre 3000, without the same results. It didn't fit. Even One Day It'll All Make Sense is hip-hop sounding even though he's getting into the more acoustic sound. Electric Circus was the first Com Sense album I didn't buy because of Like Water. That 1-2 punch is horrible.
