Howard University laid me off on my day off, while I was on vacation during memorial day weekend. Didn't even get an email.. just an unusually large deposit in my account on a day that wasn't pay day. Had to call my fakkit ass boss and he told me there was a "rift" in the department and he'd call me back.

I never heard from his bytch ass.

They also laid off a well known English professor/poet who had been there for 30 years with an email. Only way he found out was because he couldn't log into his computer.

We're all expendable unless we work for our fukking selves.

Same thing about happened to me. Was on vacation, and my boss asked if I could hop on for a quick Zoom meeting. His punk ass wasn’t even on the zoom call, it was the director. Told me they were laying off me and my entire staff. Was in Florida enjoying myself, and they dropped that bomb. Didn’t even have the decency to wait until I came back to work.

Wasn’t the right move, but they kept asking for the laptop back. I didn’t give it back.
