Comparing Kyrie Irving To Stephon Marbury Is A COMPLIMENT, Right?

I'm just saying Lillard is a better comparison to AI than Kyrie. Most people make Kyrie out to be the next Iverson when it isn't even close.

Lillards scorer mentality drive and will to win as a pg reminds me of young AI. Their games are pretty different though.

Marbury was a great player and a lot of fun to watch. HIs problem is he was feeling himself way too much and wanted to shine on his own instead of "being in Garnett's shadow".
The problem is once he got HIS WISH he couldnt win worth a damn. Many people will come in here and claim he never had good teams around him. To them I say he had a good team with Garnett and bytched his way out.
  • Went to the Nets. FAILED
  • Went to the Suns. FAILED
  • Went to the Knicks. FAILED

I think he's one of those dudes that wouldnt admit it but 4 franchises and 7 coaches (i think) cant be wrong about you. I may be wrong but every time he left a team, they improved.
Like i always tell my own sister, there comes a time when it's not the others that are the problem. It's YOUR ass.
You mean that Nets squad where Marbs played more games alongside Evan Eshmeyer than he did Kenyon Martin?

Read the bolded. Had Kenyon Martin become a superstar you know he would have wanted out of there too. Again, HE GOT HIS WISH
I agree that he shouldve stayed in minny with KG but aside from that what team did he have that was supposed to win anything?

I stopped reading after the make believe.
Arent we supposed to judge/predict someone's future actions by their past actions anymore? SHould we let Child molesters become teachers at schools?
He had a beast next to him in KG. - He wined his way out of it.

Why should I think otherwise with Kenyon? And didnt he have Zach Randolph in his prime in NY? I mean seriously guys when are we gonna stop making excuses for this cat? No really, this is not a rhetorical question.

:what:
He's NOWHERE NEAR GP on defense.

His style reminds me of GP. I don't consider GP a defensive player, even he's probably one of the best defensive guards of all time.
My point is that he's not like AI who had to have the ball on every possession. He functions within the bounds of a team. He has range from everywhere and is clutch.

Thats sounds nice but its really not true.. In fact the reasoning was way more simple and immature... He didn't like the city of Minneapolis because it snowed too much and he was homesick...Dude had been coddled even by Cremmins at GaTech who always made him feel like he was in NYC (by bringing down friends and family and flywing him back home several times as a freshman)..

It had nothing to do with KG or him wanting to shine or be the guy...If him and Garnett were both playing for the Nets or Knicks he would have never forced his way out...

Ask me about being in Oklahoma at 18. Eventually...football didn't even matter because of the culture shock and not really wanting to be there after leaving the city.

Guess what people....IT HAPPENS!!

Must have been a harsh life living in a third world country like Atlanta. Now i really feal bad for the guy. I mean going from "word is bond!!" in every sentence to "shawty!!!" is more than one could bear. :beli:

People forget the only reasons Steph even went to Tech was because Cremins and Edner Elisma were NYC guys...I was in Atlanta at the time it was a BIG deal of him having to have his people and element around him or he wasn't happy...
