My 360 RROD around the time it was poppin so I couldn't really play online.

You had a lvl 2 in the MLG playlist which was basically the training wheel section of the playlist. You played 2 matches in the playlist. You didn't play enough MLG to get a good feel of what competitive Halo was...so how do you think you are qualified to speak on it? You played the same settings I did but we were 48 ranks apart (I had a 50). The amount of shyt I had to go through to get that rank is something you didn't get to experience. You know how much shyt I had to learn to help me grow as a player, things you didn't come close to experiencing and again...you think you're qualified to speak on this....how?

You played more social/team wolves than you did MLG. You didn't play competitive Halo 3. Reach came out in 2011 (you had little time with H3) and Halo 3 had it's best year competitively in 2010.

You had a CSR of 1 in Halo 4's competitive playlist...Team Throwdown. Again, you didnt play enough competitive Halo 4 to be able to make the claims you make. I played 100x more competitive games in Halo 4 than you did. Your highest rank is a 12 in Action Sack...which is the most casual/social playlist in Halo history...it's essentially the fukk around playlist. Nothing is wrong with that, the gametypes can be fun at times, but this again proved that you don't know competitive Halo...you haven't fully experienced it and till you do please refrain from speaking like you understand it.

Wrong. Halo: CE is the GOAT console shooter...period, with Halo 2 in 2nd place. Gears 1 is the best 3rd person console shooter i've ever played.

Wow can't believe it took so long for someone to mention Socom. Socom 2 is probably top 5 console shooters ever and probably one of the best online setups. Socom 2 and RtCW were the only two shooter I competed in really. Other games I was in clans but nothing as serious as those other two.

cod series (cod2 being the best followed by cod4)

I was in pro-leagues for counter-strike for a while (I was like 12-13 years old ). Was an absolute beast in COD, I averaged a 5+ KD/R in mw2. I was good at Halo but never got into it enough to get really good. Battlefield has always been challenging to me, never been that good at it. I was one of the top players in the world in Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon desert storm on PC back in the day. Medal of Honor Allied Assault was online. I've basically played all the shooters out there.

I still think cod4 > cod2 for competitive play, but cod 2 is close and all other cods besides those 2 are a waste of time competitively

Counter-Strike the only legitimate competitive game mentioned in this thread so far.

COD2 had CALeague/CEVO

and someone said Unreal Tournament which is the most competitive/hardest to be good at FPS of all time



Being a WCG winner in unreal tournament back then pretty much meant you were the best video gamer in the entire world regardless of genre

Honestly when I think of competitive fps all I can think of is counter strike..they had some awesome games over the weekend @ Dreamhack

No way. Counter-strike is definitely more difficult to get good at than Quake. Quake is arcade-shooter at its finest, I never thought that game (or UT) was difficult at all. CS was challenging to get good at.

You do fully understand MLG is like the joke of video gaming tournaments, right ? No one takes that shyt serious... shyt they used to play world of warcraft arena at MLG that should tell you something, its the only tournament to pick it up besides Blizzards own ran tournaments and little side self funded tournaments

you keep talking about MLG but no real gamer cares about MLG.. real gamers care about ESL, Dream Hack, Star League, etc..
