The first time he met Kelis, he said, "I've been wanting to make you my wife for all these years."

He cried when he heard 2Pac diss him on "Against All Odds."

90% of these are mostly already known from interviews with Nas himself or Carmen's book or interviews with others.
Whether they are true or not remains but there's sources for them. Heard most of them before

SMH at 50 Cent being in "The Firm". 50 Cent was down with "Bravehearts" at one point, not "The Firm". Sadat X was supposed to be "The Firm" at one point though.

Anyway is it safe to assume that Swizz still has the version of "Ether" (which was allegedly more Etherous) that he produced?

Imagine the look on Hov's face every time Swizz rolled up to the studio in a BMW.

He's gotta feel some type of way.

According to Carmen Bryant, Nas would disappear: She once found him in his "secret" Long Island apartment with pages of rhymes everywhere.

So I be ghost from my projects
I take my pen and pad for the weekend
Hitting L's while I'm sleeping
A two day stay, you may say I needed time alone
To relax my dome, no phone, left the 9 at home
You see the streets have me stressed somethin terrible
fukking with the corners have a nikka up in Belleville

Rae and Nas go back way further than most think. They met on the Wild Pitch tour in 91. Im also convinced Rae wrote most of "Understanding" off Nas demo tape.

Where are you getting the Wild Pitch tour thing from? Nas & Jay might have met on that tour, he didn't meet Rae til years later.

"God's Son originally was an all-out battle record with Nas dissing nearly every popular rapper at the time, but he reconsidered and scrapped all of the songs"

^^^ holy shyt

I know for a fact that a lot of rappers would never made it to the internet era if that happened. Imagine the radio interviews and confessions these rappers would have had:damn: ?

:ahh:

Not to burst a fellow Stan's bubble but I'm pretty sure that particular "fact" is a rumor created by STU-Top Dude back at the old Nas BBS. He claimed to have read an advance version of Carmen's book (then Titled Sex, Drugs, Hip Hop......And Did I Mention Love?) and posted a bunch of stuff that she supposedly wrote. Of course the book came out and none of that stuff was true...

Raekwon helped Nas formulate his verse for "Verbal Intercourse." — 50 Things You Didn't Know About Nas | Complex

one.. learned nothing new...
two.. "Raekwon helped Nas formulate his verse for "Verbal Intercourse.""

how he help nas formulate a verse nas wrote years before they met
Raekwon: “Another one of my favorites right there. That one right there though, the beat was sick. RZA was just dominating where he wanted to take this record, and I was just right there with him all the time co-signing the beats. At that time me and Nas were real close. He would come see me at my crib. I’d come see him up in Queens. And I always told him I want him on the album.

”So one day I brought him out to Staten Island. We went to RZA’s house and he went to the basement and he was listening to the beat and I’m like, ‘Yo, this is the one I’m thinking I need to have you on.’ And we would just sit there for an hour listening to the beat. Now mind you, I didn’t even write my rhyme yet. I just knew, this beat is going on the album.

“So Nas is automatically like, ‘Yeah this is it, but I don’t know what rhyme to fukking come with.’ I’m like, ‘fukk it. What you got?’ He got a couple lines. I’m like, ‘fukk it, go in the booth.’ So now, I’m in the back on some A&R shyt. Ghost walked in. We all just chillin’. Next thing you know, Nas is up in there trying all different kinds of rhymes. He’s my guest, so I’m definitely paying attention to what he’s doing ‘cause at the end of the day I’m gonna make sure that he does what he need to do.

”He was trying shyt and I was like, ‘Nah that ain’t it right there.’ And then once he said that, ‘Through the lights, cameras, and action,’ I looked at nikkas in the room. Everybody looked at me. I’m like, ‘That’s it!’ I stopped him and said, ‘Yo, that’s the verse. Do that one.’ And ever since when he did that one, it was one of the best verses in hip-hop today.

“When that came out, Nas was just really starting to be heard more. He was starting to get his buzz up now as far as being a Queensbridge representative. People were seeing that this nikka’s nice, but we helped put that credibility on it even more when that record came out. So it was definitely one that people was like, ‘Yo, I love this shyt because this little nikka over in Queens is nice. Then he’s fukking wit y’all and then the record is mean.’ So, it just kinda like helped everybody’s position grow in the game at that time.”

He helped picked the verse to use...that's about it
