I don't listen to enough new age rap to give the best opinion on this, so I won't give one. But he's definitely not the best rappers of the ones I've heard. I actually like Jay Rock and Schoolboy more in his own clique. But neither would be best rapper alive either.

And Kendrick is only lyrical if you compare him to other mainstream rappers. He's nowhere near the best lyricist when compared to nikkas that really can rhyme.

I hear you. But can you give me a few names of people you think are better who dropped albums in the relevant time frame (Oct. 2012 - Present)? I'm just curious. I haven't really given the other TDE cats a fair shot. I could see Roc over Kendrick though...

I'd agree with Nas and Saigon. And have no beef with Killer Mike or Pusha T ahead of Kendrick. Although only Killer Mike and Pusha dropped albums in the time frame and Run The Jewels was ass to me (due to El P, oddly enough I really liked RAP Music) and I haven't heard Pusha's album yet (could use some mustard passed my way).
