I could never finish that game in school
For one, it took like 15 minutes to get the teacher to get everybody to sit down and stfu, and for those IBM computers to start and get the program running. Then you into it a good ways and you have to leave. And if you die, forget about it, might as well start a different game to play

I didn't beat that game until the PS2 era

I was in the smart class, so we got to use the computers longer. I beat Oregon Trail mad times as the banker. That river crossing was always amoment.

I had my son when i was 19 and the fact his school GIVES everyone a ipad still blows me away. Anyway i never beat the game like op said, closest i got was killing the bear.
