Where It’s Not Safe
How do u go about the process to obtaining one (im in Florida)

How long does it take?

What are some tips for concealed carry ?(where do u put it,what type of gun u use etc)

How do u deal with the police with a CC permit especially as a black man?

Non concealed carry users...how do u feel about those who do concealed carry?

& what do u think about the new bill that was passed that u can travel state lines with a CC weapon?

I honestly think that law was passed so more white people are armed for some impending doom thats about to happen...

But nonetheless Im going to get one of my own.(a CC permit)

okay.

keep in mind I'm in TX.

It was an easy process. I took an "8 hour" class, which consisted of a four hour lecture and test immediately after. Our laws are lax. No felony or DWI within the past 6 months.

After you go to the range and do the easiest shooting test possible. Although in my class an couple got kicked out because they didn't even know how to load a handgun. (never underestimate the stupidity of humans) Also in TX you don't need a license to carry in your vehicle only for personal carry.

Next I just applied for my license online and scanned in my certificate of completion of the class and got my license.

In my state its best to go ahead and get a gun, practice at the range, then file for you license.

BTW my class only cost $65 but the license itself cost $145 if I can remember correctly. At this moment they have legislation where they are trying to allow felons to cc only if they didn't commit any crime within a certain timeframe.

Probably goto the police station or nearest city municipal building. I'm positive you can find it online.

I carry a 22 sparingly. You can probably get a compact 9 or 40 cal.

I don't tell the police I am carrying. Unless you're about to be searched or arrested..."I" wouldn't announce it.

Take the safety class (get a cheap one on Groupon)

Get your fingers printed. Apply for your CCW.

Send the paperwork to Tallahassee. Wait.

Should cost about 112-150 for everything.

yeah... here in tx I think you still have to.

Oh and for my carry......I keep a springfield 45 auto and a taurus judge 45 long colt in my car. Sometimes I keep my 12 gauge mossberg 590 shockwave as well.

On my person I usually keep my SW bodygaurd 380(with laser) or SW 9mm M&P shield (with laser)

I keep my other 12 guages and 30-06 at home

To be honest it ain't worth the hassle unless you work or live in a dangerous neighborhood or own a business. Your heart will race everytime you get pulled over and got forbid you get into a situation you know them courts gonna throw the book at you. Just stay away from shady people and learn to walk away from a tense situation. I don't know how old you are OP but after your 25, 26 your brain truly processes things different.

I am in NC. I already had my basic permit so I just needed to register for a 8-hour CCW Class, around $80. Same day went to the range, had to shoot the target at 3 different distances and hit a percentage of them. After passing that had to go to the sheriffs office and pay application fees, around $90. Then wait a ridiculous amount of time, about 3 months for approval to pick up my permit.

With the exception of when I am jogging or hiking (which I have a different holster for), I only conceal carry 10-20% of the time, but that number is moving up the way things are going. I never leave my gun in the car, the 2-3 times I left my laptop hidden in my trunk was of course the first time my car was ever broken into.

Also know a relative who had their gun stolen out of their truck recently, which is basically a get away with a drive-by free card. I have not been pulled over since I had my conceal carry but I do not worry about it, if a racist cop wants to start a problem then there is nothing I can do about that in 2017/2018 without major repercussions. I just make sure my dashcams are rolling and I don't give them any evidence to stack.
