The same way that not having an online service period would have unacceptable last gen.
This is supposed to be next gen. We're supposed to be moving forward. What was acceptable before is no longer good enough

Yes, that is the name of the 300,000 servers reserved for XB1 ONLY. PC/Xbox360 can't even use those servers. Thunderhead, go look that up. Then you'll see your post is beneath your perceived standards
Well, Sony can't talk about it because it's Activision's game. Do you notice whenever Infinity Ward/Activision talk about CoD, they only talk about the Xbox version? It's because they have a marketing deal with MS. MS goes out of their way to make it appear Call of Duty is a MS franchise. Does that mean that CoD isn't coming out on other platforms? NO! Since MS gave them a deal on Dedicated servers, most likely part of that deal includes only talking about the Xbox1 version having dedicated servers.

They can pay to be in the forefront but if activision is asked about the other version Microsoft can't force them to not say anything. That's some neogaf conspiracy stuff, you need to log off and quit listening to those clowns.

The flagship exclusive launch game for ps4 does not have dedicated servers. Sony doesn't even talk about dedicated servers.
All Xbox one games have been confirmed to have dedicated servers. Microsoft has gone through great lengths to encourage their use on the platform.

They already pay Infinity Ward/Activision to only talk about the Xbox version of CoD at events (Just like Sony pays Rockstar to only mention the PS3 version of "GTA V" in their ads). Why wouldn't it work the same way with Dedicated Servers, when Microsoft is giving them a discount on the dedicated servers?

Their logic is, Sony hasn't talked about it so there's won't be dedicated servers
Sorta like how they were saying, Sony hasn't talked about DRM so they'll have it on the ps4
I personally don't care about dedicated servers, as long as the gameplay is smooth I don't care who or what the game is running on
I just need to know Sony is gonna prevent major downtime & have proper security on the network.

They pay them to put the platform first. But they still talk about the features the game has on the other platform.
