COD is the most popular game PERIOD, and on one system it'll have dedicated servers, the other willnot.

Microsoft said this at there reveal, then we all talked about it when they announced it.

Here is a Driveclub review from neogaf, from a known 3cept who actually played it...

Played this, Forza and NFS yesterday. Graphically it looks good but Forza and NFS demos blow it out of the water during game play. If you have played these on the show floor you have to be blind not to see the huge difference. Hopefully the graphics improve on DC as I will be getting it, and I am not sure I want to buy a Xbone for this game.

The controller makes a big difference too as the rumble feedback on xbone was so good, especially with the new triggers it made the experience so much more enjoyable. I just want to hate on Xbone due their DRM but this was a tough pill to swallow yesterday.

We did need it, but nobody else had so what could we say(no consoles), but if one has it and the other dont that's major.

For the record, a few games have been individually confirmed but dedicated servers for every game has still yet to be confirmed OR denied by either Microsoft or Sony.

Microsoft has said dedicated servers will be available for all games. They can't say that all games WILL have them because its ultimately up to devs. To this point all announced Xbox one games use dedicated servers.

Sony is just not talking about it, they also aren't talking about what upgrades are being made to PSN to justify the charge for online play. The ps4 flagship exclusive shooter does not have dedicated servers. I think that gives you your answer for dedicated servers on ps4. Which is why Sony isnt talking about it.

Well the only shooter that matters on PS4 this holiday season has dedicated servers and that's Battlefield 4. The only game that actually needs dedicated servers for me is NBA 2k. I've played that game on Xbox live for years and still run into unbelievable lag.
