I'm a little surprised that they are doing this with all that BS they were talking. It looks like they were just trying to save face. The people have spoken. I think people will still go for the PS4 first with that price difference, but this will help to stop the bleeding for MS.

They probably thought the backlash would let up after almost a month...it was never going away. I don't think any outlet sold out of pre-orders either. They might have to cook up another xbox announcement showing more new shyt and drop the news in there as well to try to turn the negativity around because I am not sure this is enough on its own, but a step in the right direction for them.

We just witnessed a full PR nightmare out on the internet. I bet the suits were scrambling right after E3 after the complaining only got louder.
