He was an animal at Southern Lab in Baton Rouge.

Probably just as good of a basketball player as he was a football player before he decided to solely focus on football before going to LSU.

I watched that Southern Lab team win a state championship with him. They had two or three other guys on that team that played college ball and they were some dawgs too.

They had a coach named Joel Hawkins and he stayed getting most of the talent in that Baton Rouge area especially in basketball.
