You know ball. I like Branch, Okezie from Florida, and my personal favorite Nasir Anderson more. If Anderson grows to 6’4” - 6’5”, he’s a top 3 pick.Good player but Bruce Branch is the best player in that class. ESPN just doesn’t fukk with non-Nike kids like that.
Preciate it breh. I gotta see how Nasir runs that Prolific team before I have a tapped in opinion on him.You know ball. I like Branch, Okezie from Florida, and my personal favorite Nasir Anderson more. If Anderson grows to 6’4” - 6’5”, he’s a top 3 pick.
Spears definitely top 5.
They aren't.
The skill level is higher but they're not as freakishly explosive. Football is getting a higher proportion of those guys and basketball is moving towards the Jokic/Luka style of skill over athletic ability. You still got your Ant's and Ja's, but Steph got the ball rolling. Maybe even earlier with Steve Nash. As long as you can shoot, pass, understand footwork and movement...especially if you're taller. Breh is 6'8" and who knows if he's done growing.
He's likely to be 1 and done so he might go wherever the biggest NIL bag is. Doesn't really need to follow his parents path for just 1 year but Swagu always talking about LSU so the kid is probably programmed at this point.
ESPN rankings don't mean shyt. He's not a consensus Number 1 and nobody pays attention to rankings 2 years from graduating high school![]()
Darius Bagley
As a fan of Spears I was hoping his talent would be undeniable. However, yea seems a bit early.Ranking at 16 years old don’t mean shyt. These kids develop so much in two years
Ask Julian Newman and Mikey Williams
I think I first started noticing this when Dajuan Wagner son was in HS. I saw the rankings of him being the #1 prospect as a freshman/sophomore, etc. These young players now look so slow.
I don’t doubt their skills but they don’t seem as athletic and explosive as they did 15-20 years ago.
Emoni bates another great exampleAs a fan of Spears I was hoping his talent would be undeniable. However, yea seems a bit early.
Not that he cant/wont be a pro. However, this seems based on potential. Which its better to have room to grow and not peaked early like Emoni Bates I guess.

However, at no point did he look as explosive or grown/streetball tough as his dad. And he was a player who wasnt overly explosive once in the league. I wonder if its cause they focus just on basketball. Where as guys back in the day played different sports growing up.
