They should undoubtedly spend it on schools. No cac teachers allowed. FOH if somebody thinks i'm going to allow some white teacher to be alone with my childs mind for 8 hours a day. We can only guess at the types of psychological warfare being waged on our children by these white teachers.
..But they know that empowering the youth through education would be the end of it. Imagine if black kids had the Angela Davis type as their elementary teacher

The question is, what can we, and other descendants of African slaves in America, do to get some real weight behind this?
Talking about it is great and I'm glad this thread was created. But what can we do to make this thing a reality or at least try our best to do so?
I think blacks should be supporting politicians like this who stick their neck out for the community. Both with our votes and our dollars.

For a bill like this too work its going to have some guidelines in place. As an AA I wouldn't move to the uk and expect to get reparations(from the british) owed to their predominately Caribbean and African population
bill does four things:
- It acknowledges the fundamental injustice and inhumanity of slavery
- It establishes a commission to study slavery, its subsequent racial and economic discrimination against freed slaves;
- It studies the impact of those forces on today's living African Americans; and
- The commission would then make recommendations to Congress on appropriate remedies to redress the harm inflicted on living African Americans.
