It is understood they sold drugs for survival. On the other hand, the illegal drug business cut the lives of the black men very short, lead them into incarceration, and create dysfunction in black families. I know what I'm talk about because I used to sell drugs and have many relatives and colleagues are involved in street activities. I have grown out of my immature ways and now see that street activities isn't the sole way in prospering in the hood. There are too much information and resources are available for many of the black gangsters to stick with one method of surviving.
