By this post I think you're not getting what people are saying. I'm still in my early 20s and work retail, but I know with determination and saving like crazy that I can cop a used older model of a BMW. And I mean the car itself, but(excluding insurance) I will NOT be able to afford the car in the LONG RUN. Get it? A person can afford a used old BMW for $12,000, but in the long run it'll cost him money just to maintain it.
And those people who consider having BMWs "pocket change" are most likely people with a lot of money and are not the average joe.
As for the bolded, true... Not gonna deny that, but I'd rather take a Dodge Challenger over any BMW... That's just me.
