That's actually ps4. Ps3 was having games in 08.Ps3 was criticized for having no games the first 3 years of its life. It only sold well from 2009 onwards.

Minecraft and Roblox don't require expensive computers to play and they aren't on Steam, Steam numbers going up is not indicative of more people buying expensive PCs/parts. It's literally free to create a Steam account and log in on a toaster.Kids are heavily into streamers, steamers mostly play on PC. Minecraft and Roblox are best on PC. The coli says PC gaming isn't convenient and too expensive but Steam numbers keep going up and breaking records.

Steam just cracked 40 million concurrent users for the first time, meaning Valve's user count was bigger than 80% of the countries in the United Nations

This. Next year I'm sure will be massive with GTA 6 alone. GTA is literally a system seller. I'd bet money that a lot of streamers, especially someone like Kai Cenat and others will influence a lot of gamers who are still on PS4/XB1 to upgrade to PS5 to join in on the fun lol. I don't believe in this zero sum game framing with discussions about consoles/PCs.there's literally going to be a mass exodus of ps4 gamers next year when they're finally forced to join current gen for GTA 6
Yeah definitely like 30m or sothere's literally going to be a mass exodus of ps4 gamers next year when they're finally forced to join current gen for GTA 6

Sony cult at oddds with reality as usualMinecraft and Roblox don't require expensive computers to play and they aren't on Steam, Steam numbers going up is not indicative of more people buying expensive PCs/parts. It's literally free to create a Steam account and log in on a toaster.
Steam and PC gaming gaining more popularity doesn't mean people don't want PS5s and Switches. Xbox's severe lagging shouldn't be lumped in with PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. It'd be like saying PC gaming is dying because less people are buying games there and not mentioning that the store they're referencing is the Microsoft store lol. Xbox is in a bad place, not Playstation or Switch.

Most of the biggest PC games aren't on Steam and it's still growing. LoL, WoW, Fortnite, Valorant, Roblox, Minecraft etc. aren't on Steam, yet it's growing at record rates. The average Steam PC is $900, not a toaster. I never said Playstation or Switch were in a bad place, but PC gaming is growing faster, and Sony knows it or they wouldn't be aggressively supporting it.Minecraft and Roblox don't require expensive computers to play and they aren't on Steam, Steam numbers going up is not indicative of more people buying expensive PCs/parts. Do you have data for this? I haven't seen any direct estimates of costs, but of parts which is probably what you're extrapolating. The point still stands though, those machines that are playing the games you listed aren't particularly high end PCs which is what is being talked about on here where some users say people are opting out of say a PS5/PS5 Pro to get into PC gaming with high end cards/setups.Most of the biggest PC games aren't on Steam and it's still growing. Yeah, I asked Grok and Chat GPT to estimate cost based on Steam's published average specs. They came up with $900. Astrobot will probably never come to PC because it's a Playstation love letter designed around their controller. I don't know what their future plans are but the windows between game releases went from three years to 15 months with Spider-Man 2. And they're still hiring for multiplatform, including PC, higher up positions.Do you have data for this? I wouldn't say Sony is aggressively supporting PC with the way people make it out to be online like "They're doing more for PC than Playstation!" some folks like to insist.
Some games still aren't on PC(PS4 catalog games, a few PS5 games) and games like Astrobot still haven't had a PC port announced. Also apparently they removed the "Game revenue beyond console" portion from their latest reports.

Previous report they had "Game revenue beyond console" listed as well.
Aggressively would be new first party games released 6 months later which hasn't happened yet.
