Brehs, is it better to go Intel or AMD? I got an i5-3570K sitting in my wish list for my next rig. It's the most expensive part out of everything I have set up, pushing my budget over $800.Brehs, is it better to go Intel or AMD? I got an i5-3570K sitting in my wish list for my next rig. if the i5-3570k is on your wish list just hold off... by the time battlefield 4 comes around or something that requires new shyt , then new PC shyt will be out by then at the same price you are looking to get that i5
id wait a few months if you are content playing games currently.. buying an i5 right now might put you back when the new shyt drops honestly..
At least until I can afford a stronger card.if you want a system that will last you a while through next gen, i'm going to say probably 1200 if you build it now... for one, we don't know how current cards will run next-gen titles, and two, as games get more complex, they are going to tax the cards a lot more. You always want to build your computer with wiggle room.
but we do know how the current cards will run next gen... they arent using some innovative cards in these machines, we know that Titan which came out months ago is 3x as powerful as the cards in the ps4 and xboxone. Video card will be the last of your worry unless you got a 560gtx like the poster above me.
unless one is slipping my mind... battlefield 4, titan fall everything that will be more computer intensive isnt coming out for awhileI still think building incrementally is better than dropping $1,200 at once. I can probably make it playing on high all gen with $1,200 spent (6+ years)if you want a system that will last you a while through next gen, i'm going to say probably 1200 if you build it now... for one, we don't know how current cards will run next-gen titles, and two, as games get more complex, they are going to tax the cards a lot more.
