Consoles have more classics and a uniform game play experience for most users.

Pc gaming takes some tech know how for optimum performance and can be an expensive headache.

I came up on PC gaming instead of console unlike most people and transitioned to consoles because I don't have the time and energy to dedicate myself to keeping my gaming PC up to par. I was interested in the steam box idea but the execution is a joke thus ps4 it is

Why is upgrading an issue? You actually want to be stuck with dated hardware? Its not like that console is keeping pace with the latest and greatest. Back in the last cycle the consoles that came out were better than what was available on the PC at the same time but with this new cycle these consoles are weaker than some of the mid-range stuff that's currently out. all that means is that in a year or two when the next generation of PC graphics cards hit these consoles will be even further behind and at the end of their generation they'll be worse off than the PS3 and Xbox 360 are right now.

Why is upgrading an issue? You actually want to be stuck with dated hardware? Its not like that console is keeping pace with the latest and greatest. The PC gaming market is the biggest, its just that its so large that its hard for any single program to completely corner the market to play under one platform. Steam is huge, but even that probably accounts less than half of the overall pc gaming population.

These cats are really clueless as to how large the PC gaming world really is. It absolutely dwarfs the consoles and offers "backwards compatibility" to games released since the late 80's...it really isn't close or fair to put them up against consoles at all IMO. It absolutely crushes that market in almost every single angle you look at it.

it just means you're stuck with old tech. I can only imagine where PC hardware will be in "6 to 8 years", compared to these these consoles that currently struggle to take full advantage of a 1080p 60hz display
