I own both and all that “greatness” on PS4 is still sitting there barely touched.

I don’t understand how y’all pretend your opinion is universal.

Going in to the next gen I know I’m getting both cause I always do, but I’m totally disinterested in a bunch of sequels to the aforementioned “greatness” you talked about.

whether you like these kind of games or not you gotta admit from a non bias gamer point of view...that roster is a fukking monster. I personally Enjoyed Days Gone too, but I understand it’s Criticisms and wouldn’t place it on the list with the rest of these, same with Death Stranding

Xbox had Gears 5, Ori, Halo 5, Forza, Titanfall, Sea Of Thieves?...like I said, HUGE gap in quality

If I personally don’t care for most of them then it don’t really matter.

Sure they are quality games, but I could also list a bunch of Xbox games that are quality games, that I actually enjoy.

My thing is, y’all act like your opinion is universal. Most people playing video games don’t care about most of what’s on your list.

The idea of buying a console is way more than just about exclusives. That may be the number one thing for you, but it’s not even a thing that’s considered for most people buying consoles.

This “exclusives” argument has been overblown and promoted solely for console wars reasons.

before the PS4, exclusives for me weren’t a big decider, and probably a lot of people so in that sense you’re right, but MOST people will decide what they want based on the games they can play, if your picking a console for any other reason than that I honestly don’t know what to tell you lol, and that’s why the PS4 has kicked the dogshyt out of the x1 this entire gen

The PS4 has sold over 110m consoles and is on course to sell more than the PS2 or at least come close to it due to its combination of exclusives and third party games. If exclusives don’t matter then explain to me why the One X is selling at around 50m? They both have the same third party games and even the One X is more powerful than the PS4 Pro so why aren’t they close in sales like the PS3 generation?

I'd ask him if the exclusives "don't matter" then one can run with the same line of reasoning and say Halo 3 didn't matter despite selling 14 million units worldwide. I mean according to MSFT Halo 3 sold 14.5 million units as of 2012(Game came out in 2007).
If a game like Spider-Man PS4 sold 13 million units in one year, Horizon 10 million in 2 years, Uncharted 4 16 million, God of War 10 million in a year and so on and so forth, it would mean that according to this same faulty logic, "Most people don't care..." about Halo or didn't care especially as the series sales waned from 3. Like, what metric does one use to determine people don't care about something? It's just silly to suggest that and just comes off as defensive fanboy drivel. This is why I dislike some Xbox fans on this forum, they hate on anything PS related for no reason and try to create a logic that is easily ran around.

Jesus Christ Horizon Zero Dawn was ok yall treat that shyt like it was the best game ever. Enough game was great thats it. I can name other PS exclusives I enjoyed more.
