Consuming protein within a 30 minute window after a workout?

I do make somewhat of an effort to eat some protein before workouts and I obviously eat after, but I don't be going out of my way to time the shyt.

Eat enough. Rest enough. Lift heavy things. Do enough cardio(if you're overweight).

Obviously get your numbers right (amount of protein you need, your caloric intake requirements for cut/bulk/maintain, lifting a certain amount), but at the end of the day it all boils down to those 4 things.

I do just because I'm so damn hungry after I lift. It helps stop me from going overboard and eat something shytty.

I consume a lot of protein for satiety to be honest. Otherwise i'd just be on them there carbs HARD.
