College football playoff is ruining college football bring back the computers kill off the committee
HOW?
I think INT's that are the receivers fault shouldn't count towards the QB, get rid of XP, you should only be allowed to kick away from the return man a certain number of times, like 3.
Hack a shaq should be punishable by death
so should flopping
all celebrations should be legal

So we shouldn't attempt to judge impact with information that's more accurate, but instead used archaic measurements from a time when folk didn't have access and knowledge of what really impacts the game?

Yeah. Advanced stats are really telling.

Sounds about right to me...why the QB gets credit for your run?
If the pass is ahead of the line of scrimmage there is a logical belief that the qb placed the ball in a position that the reciever could get yards after that reception

In college especially, a lot of qbs just dont lead the wr correctly...only elite qbs at that level lead consistantly. In the pros we have grown to expect it.

Nah breh, no way the qb should get credit for calculating a receiver would break 3 or 4 tackles and take to the house. :francis:

YAC (yard after catch) shouldn't count when calculating a quaterback yardage stats

Drop passes shouldn't count against a quaterback completion percentage

Add on :patrice:

This already exists though.

Quarterback Air Yards: 2016 NFL Season

Air yards is defined as the total distance that a football is thrown beyond the line of scrimmage to the point of reception. Air yards is calculated by taking total passing yards and subtracting Yards After the Catch (YAC).

I'll give you an example to marinate on:

player x has 12 rebounds in a game (only three of those rebounds were actually contested - the rest were when no opposition player was in the vicinity and/or either taken rebounds away from his own teammates)

player y had 7 rebounds in a game (six of those rebounds were contested)

Who had more impact on the glass in that game? Furthermore does x player who grabbed 12 rebounds (three only being contested) have more impact on the game than a player that contested and altered more shots (shots that aren't counted as blocks), set more effective screens, dragged more defenders away from ball handlers by being active off the ball etc etc just because he had more rebounding #s?

Tim Duncan and Kareem Abdul Jabbar were great to their team. But their game is so agonizingly boring to watch I can't survive it. Chris Paul too.

Lol

I was talking about his specific example.

I said "alternative stats", not advanced stats.

It was a topical joke. Keep up.
