I still don't see the difference in this context between "alternative stats" and "advanced stats" - they're the same thing are they not? That was only me taking the bait after your first comment, because it seemed to me that you already thought I said advanced stats

college and nfl rules need not be the same. this also inflates stats, especially when you get big receives or ends (or rb's) who break tackles and work hard for yards that weren't a given due to the throw. i don't like YAC, qb stats should state the yards they passed for and that's it.If the pass is ahead of the line of scrimmage there is a logical belief that the qb placed the ball in a position that the reciever could get yards after that reception
In college especially, a lot of qbs just dont lead the wr correctly...only elite qbs at that level lead consistantly. In the pros we have grown to expect it.
yes, they get credit for completing that pass, the work the receiver does after is on that receiver...and whoever else is potentially blocking for them. But should they not get credit for throwing a pass between zones on a slant in a spot only the wr can catch it and be able to run? Goes both ways breaugh

Do the numbers say that in this era more rebounds are "uncontested" ?I'll give you an example to marinate on:
player x has 12 rebounds in a game (only three of those rebounds were actually contested - the rest were when no opposition player was in the vicinity and/or either taken rebounds away from his own teammates)
player y had 7 rebounds in a game (six of those rebounds were contested)
Who had more impact on the glass in that game? Furthermore does x player who grabbed 12 rebounds (three only being contested) have more impact on the game than a player that contested and altered more shots (shots that aren't counted as blocks), set more effective screens, dragged more defenders away from ball handlers by being active off the ball etc etc just because he had more rebounding #s?

coed in contact sports tho ?We need coed sports leagues. Coed relay teams in track would be dope. Have women playing PG and SF in the NBA. A female tossed somewhere out in right field shouldn't be an issue. Seperate but equal wasn't ok between black and white, let's not make it ok between man and woman![]()
