Wrong. Einstein's theory of relativity is just a "theory" as well. I have no dog in this fight. I'm just making sure people understand the language they're using. Because something is a "theory" doesn't make it fact. It's just an idea that is suggested or presented as "possibly" true, but is not known or can't be proven.

That's because theory is the highest thing something can be in science, because we haven't been all over the observable universe to know whether its 100% true in 100% of cases, but it the the classical physics sense, its a fact. It's when you get to quantum and sub-atomic physics do certain things not hold true. That's why the current holy grail of physics is a theory that can unify both classical and subatomic physics into one coherent set of rules.

This is another reason flat earth has gained so much support, people would rather clutch at certain 'evidence' than debunk the questions posed by flat earthers

That map was made up by a religious person that doesn't take into account relativity and you can tell that by the picture on side (the one were them two dudes are holding on to the spinning globe). Now you can't dismiss the theory of relativity unless you also believe that the atom bomb is fake. The comedy in all of this is that all this flat earth ideas come from the same people that want to use the fruits of the theory of relativity to erase Iran from the face of the earth.

You can't make an observation with a conclusion already in your mind. you gotta be objective and you gotta be able to stick to the experiment for longer than 30 minutes. also that shot was from an angle and during a cloudy rainy day and i bet you that lady didn't come back multiple times to make sure her findings can stick in the face of scrutiny.

if the Earth were flat then night fall would not occur at sunset but wouldn't happen until close to midnight
when the Earth has turned a full 180° away from the sun

Sunset on a flat Earth would still allow light to streak across the horizon in all time zones on that hemisphere after the Earth has only partially turned

because it's round the east coast experiences night fall before the west coast etc etc

Im just looking for answers breh.. Deep down in my heart, i cant subscribe to this theory. But that doesnt mean that jfk > lax and lax > jfk should be the same length of time at a steady 500mph. Personally i agree with the other thread where someone suggested the flat earth theory is a psyop. Since this debate arose, people seem to be talking about hollow earth and the antartic expeditions of the US/germans a lot less
