Prince is the Most Complete Artist of All Time
we will never see anything like him again.
When Prince take the stage it's a Event.
Never called himself a Genius.
Other Geniuses called him a Genius....

Genius intellect when it came to producing, song-writing and could play every instrument you hear in his music. Your opinion though.I hear Prince brought up in these conversations of GOAT artist. I've never been a huge fan, but I think I might be tripping. I'm not going to front like I searched out a lot of his work. but when the obvious comparison is Michael Jackson Come the fukk on. Somebody nees a leg to stand on. What am I missing?
It don't work like that. "Tell me to like something"
You have more a need to fit in than to know his work. You need to come in with the right motivation organically and just listen and vibe. Going in like you are putting him against Michael and it's a competition will impact your perception of the music. Basically you will have to wait until you have an open mind. Right now it's more about needing his art to prove something. Best case scenario, someone plays you Princes work when you don't anticipate/it comes on randomly and you just soak it in. Then you will be able to make accurate comparisons and discussions.

one of the big three of the 80s with Madonna and Michael Jackson, MJ made some of his music appeal to kids though. He had big hits and social impact in the 80s but I never knew people rated him on the same level as MJ
I was too young during his prime decade, too many other artists were more appealing to kids.
yea as crazy as it sounds i knew who Prince was by 5-6 yrs old. so he was def majorone of the big three of the 80s with Madonna and Michael Jackson, MJ made some of his music appeal to kids though.
It's crazy to me man.You could say the masterpiece that is the film Purple Rain. Or his epic performance of it at the Superbowl when it was raining and doves were flying around. But this performance is exactly what I would have posted. Imagine trying to explain it to someone without showing them the video. Bruh made an already classic song about guitars weeping sound better and look better than it ever had before. Pulled out every kind of skillful riff and performative trick out of his bag. Played with his fukkin teeth like Jimi and on the ground and leaning back into the crowd as the family and friends of the person they're paying tribute to are on stage grinning in awe of what they have the honor of witnessing and being apart of. He takes off his expensive yet priceless guitar, maybe some Stratocastor with polished tortoise. Throws it to his guy in the crowd and walks away like a pimp who's been well paid.
