Yo the difference in quality between FKTAG, La Maquina, and that Big Ghost mixtape from February is night and day.
I know it's real fashionable to record a project in 2 or 3 days now. And I know rappers brag about that shyt. But I think this really goes to show the difference in quality when you take the time to craft and build an actual project, instead of just recording bars and bars over every beat in a folder that a producer sent you, and just releasing it.
There's a clear step uo in quality when Conway decides to take his time and put a project together. I don't like this more than FKTAG, and I doubt I will, just because I love Primo, Havoc, Erick Sermon, etc. But Conway created the same aesthetic, but with elite modern and trap producers on this one. I know some people will always love Reject 2 and GOAT, but I'll be damned if King to a God and La Maquina aren't the most fun I've had with Conway albums. It seems so obvious (to me at least) that he's a much better emcee and artist now than he's ever been.

I gotta be honest breh. You know I'm a big Alc fan like you. But coming off the heels of the last 8 joints Conway and Alc did together with hard ass drums and crazy samples (The whole Lulu EP and Dough Damani), and compared to the Piano Love and God Don't Make Mistakes songs (in spoiler tags below), I think 200 Pies is a clear notch below all of those.
