Not sure if this move is considered overrated. I’m pretty sure it’s considered a cult classic.

I didn't remember "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" in the 60's. Now I know why. It wasn't released until 1975. It was made for "Cooley High". I guess most of the older people knew this. One way or another, the song was a classic.

My dad didn't like this movie,

He thought it was a c00n film. had dudes chilling with gorillas, The black kids even The smart kids that were good students were still casually committing crimes like thugs etc etc
A bunch of negative black stereotypes packaged as a wholesome movie.
I need to go back and watch it to verify though. I barely remember anything about this movie.

First time I saw the movie it messed me up. I saw when them two nikkas was beating up Cochise underneath the elevated subway, but had no idea that he actually DIED from the beatdown. Then cut to the funeral and I was like "wait a minute, the nikka DIED?!?" :wtf: The movie had pretty much fun and jokes up until the beating.

Whatever happened to the light skinned jawn that Preach was dealing with? LOL at that scene after she let him smash... "Wait till I tell Cochise!! That nikka owes me a dollar...." :lupe:
He actually didnt die from Sly and Robbie's beat down. He dies when homey wanted to get in one hit ... they showed in in slow-mo, the hit made him hit his head on the train station

I used to love this short tune when Preach gets the draws

That's dope most the main cast are alive and relatively healthy.
