He doesn't, but you don't really need it with Wade, Deng and Dragic on the floor. Better to equal out their offensive output with Winslow's defense, and use Johnson off the bench to keep the offense running smoothly. And besides he's bound to get an easy basket or two with all the defensive attention Wade/Dragic/Deng command - much easier than it would be to score with the second unit, where there's no notable playmakers.

That's not a bad train of thought:ohhh:

Then we are doomed, unless Dragic elavates his game to an entirely new level, or rookies and co step up...

Only so much Wade can do...
I wouldn't say y'all are doomed, but I mentioned this prior to the series - there's a clear imbalance on your squad where there's too many young, raw players and too many older, seasoned players in the twilight of their careers and not enough in between.

:martin:

We're discussing Gerald Green in the playoffs now, not when Joe Johnson came to the Heat towards middle end of the regular season so this point is irrelevant. And the stats show that the Heat actually were/are no more better with Johnson during the regular season once he arrived or currently during the playoffs which is my entire premise.

:pachaha:

That's because you're seeing Gerald Green on a leash.
:francis:

Give him more than 10 minutes and you'll start seeing the real Gerald Green, with the ill-advised pull up 3's.

I'm already aware of how inefficient & lackluster Gerald Green's overall game is however his play has been very limited in the playoffs & this has nothing to do with why the Heat are underachieving thus far or that Joe Johnson is garbage & is of no real benefit to the Heat, particularly when he's needed & it's time for him to step up.

Joe. Johnson is on the wrong side of 30 what do y'all expect ?

:camby: You nikkas will come up with all types of excuses to make up for the fact that Joe Johnson is just :trash:

There are a number of NBA players currently in the league who are Joe Johnson's age (34) or older that are either starters or playing close to or lower minutes than Johnson just as or more productive & effective overall as Johnson is.

(I'm sure there are other players that I haven't mentioned or that others could find which would apply in this list)

Dwayne Wade - 34
Pau Gasol - 35
Zach Randolph - 34
Tim Duncan - 39
Dirk Nowitzki - 37
Manu Ginobli - 38
Vince Carter - 39
Matt Barnes -36

Those guys were super stars with the exception of Barnes.
