Yeah, he worked with the Humane Society, and he's spoken at COUNTLESS schools, done community service, etc.
But these white people HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE Vick, breh. They HATE HIM. Like, OVERWHELMINGLY. And I don't just mean general public, I'm talking hardcore NFL fans and specifically diehard Eagles fans.
Go to some of those South Philly neighborhoods and ask them 'woods what they think of Mike Vick.
Vick has his fans (I LIVED by the guy, I'm one of them...and frankly, some of the neighbors hated him, too), but he has FAR more detractors in this city.
The thing is, he handles it so well that you don't really see that side of it. He's always saying the right things, doing the right things....but he's HATED.
In fact, look up ANY "Most Hated Athlete" poll in the last few years, he's at the top of the list.
Anyway, reports are that Cooper has already caught a couple TD passes during the scrimmage today....the Eagles aren't slick, this was their plan all along.
No. I don't live in Philadelphia. I'm going by traditional media outlets and news stories. I didn't know there was that much hate for Vick.
I live in an area of where people wore Vick jerseys even after his involvement in dog-fighting and his arrest. People were wearing Atlanta Hawks Vick jerseys, kids, adults, men and women. So, maybe I see things from an area where Vick is not seen as a bad guy, but more of a local hero who made his mark in high school and college and made it to the pros.
