I never thought Cooper would be a bust...until the mavs got the number one pick...

As it stands now they have no real point guard and they are clearly going to feature AD on offense, so how is he going to get the ball?

And when Kyrie get's back you know he going to be gunning for his trying to re-establish himself.

What role is he actually supposed to play on this mavs team other than role player to Kyrie and AD?

He might legit bust on the mavs but be fine on another team that is really going to build the team around him.

The funny part is that the Mavs should clearly take Dylan Harper at one because he is so much more of a fit for their team. All they have is an old guard coming off a serious injury and some random dudes, Harper could start for them day 1. Instead because of the Luka trade and the hype around Cooper they going to be forced to take him and watch a rival take Harper at two and probably create a dynasty with Wemby.

I think there’s a lot of hype with Cooper Flagg. I’ve read a lot of comments calling him this generational talent.

I’m not quite sure I would describe his ceiling that way.

He feels like a prospect that’s closer to Banchero than Wembanyama…which is not a bad thing. Like anything else, it’s about expectations.

But I’m sure I will eat these words in a year.
If the coli has taught us anything it’s that our predictions blow up in our faces spectacularly.

AD will miss 45-50 games. That’s how he will get the ball

He’s going to produce because of how hard he plays

NBA players don’t play hard

Agreed. He's a hardhat and lunch pail kind of guy. He just plays the game right way. If he can avoid the negative influences in the league and surround himself with the right kind of teammates, he should be fine.
