Cooper Flagg is going to be good but offensively he won't come close to what Luka Doncic brought to the table so he'll likely be seen a disappointment based on where he was drafted and when.
But by all reports he’s head and shoulder above Luka on the defensive side of the ball. Luka is a generational talent on offense, no one in this draft will come close to what he brings on offense

He’s definitely not going to be a bust.

Honestly don’t know if he’s generational, but his floor is Pretty Good. Motor and size, plays hard both ways. He’s the safest pick in this draft. Certified 2-way player entering the league.

I realize that’s unfair….but that’s always going to be a thing because of where he got drafted
No it’s not.
Nobody in the mavericks fanbase or city of Dallas is ever expecting another Luka again.

Cooper Flagg can still be a great success story and appreciated separate from that. Kyrie as well.

Aight we'll come back to this if Luka wins a championship with the Lakers and if Cooper isn't the number 1 offensive player on a championship contender.

Of course if those things don't happen, it's fine but if they do, I think this will always be a thing.

It don't take much to be head and shoulders over Luka on defense lol shyt that most of the league

Thing wit Flagg he already so polished and well rounded and I don't think he got a high ceiling offensively but the floor already so high.

I'm seein mid 2000s AK47 wit better scorin or white Amen Thompson wit better shootin type of player which still a damn good two way player will be among league top two way players but I agree wit nikkas questionin superstar cause I don't know if offense will ever get to that level. Cacs desperate for American superstar cause all they best cacs be from Europe these days so the hype high

Tired of these racist Mavs fans with 1,000% smoke for Nico but zero smoke for ownership.

Notice how they all hating on Nico, Kidd and Finley.

White fans (and some Black fans) got an agenda. Bytches ain't slick.

They don't believe there was collusion with Silver/Nico/Lakers.....but they DO believe that the 2006 Finals were rigged by Stern & refs. If Nico was white, I guarantee the hate would be split 50/50 between ownership and GM. They just want to run all the Blacks out the front office for getting rid of their white hero.

Normally I'd hate on Nico for being a dumbazz but it's too many cheeky azz cacs hating on him and we KNOW it's deeper than Luka. They need to believe a Black man is incapable of working in the front office. I can't rock with a bunch of peckerwood buckra ofays going in on a breh like that.

They really think if Nico made the decision unilaterally that he wouldn't have been fired on the spot :mjlol:

They think he "tricked" them or some shyt.

You even got fans that are willing to admit the lottery was rigged....BUT....they think it was Silver saving Nico from his bad move. They're willing to believe the rigging part, but don't believe the trade collusion part.

Cowboys have had 3, #1 overall picks since 1960...but haven't had one since 1991.

Stars haven't picked #1 since they were still in Minnesota (Modano)

Rangers in all their crap history have ONLY had 2 picks at #1, none since 1973.

Mavericks only #1 pick ever was Mark Aguirre in 1981 until Flagg. Odds were like 0.1% they'd even get Flagg. Shyt was the biggest quid pro quo in sports. Get Luka on the Lakers to ensure the highest selling price possible and raising the floor on franchise valuations (Jeannie didn't just wake up and decide to sell the team at random)...and also get a legit Top 3 guy on the biggest brand. Dallas has a history of developing talent from Finley, Nash, Dirk, Brunson, Luka etc...and Dallas loves a good white player. Much safer bet than Charlotte for example.

Why are we still doing this?

Nico was the one behind the move. He put the wheels in motion well before the new ownership even took over.
