More Black cops will not solve this problem. Black Law Enforcement sides with LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Later tonight when I get home I'm going to post some Facebook screenshots of an acquaintance of mine. He grew up in Flatbush with one of my closest friends. He does not side with black people EVER on any issue involving police brutality or excessive force. He sides with LAW ENFORCEMENT. Law enforcement ALWAYS sides with Law enforcement unless you are one of the few who have a conscience and think outside of the hivemind. And very few do because by nature they are all supposed to stick together. It's the very basis of their organizations. But I digress...this dude is a HARDCORE right wing Republican. He even got canned by NYPD and was transferred to Miami, further solidifying his beliefs.

Just like the white cops...he calls us savages, moops, perps, and other shyt.

And he became a cop because his pops got robbed at gunpoint in BK when he was in HS, but never questioned...where did that gun come from? Why are there so many illegal guns on the streets of NY?

No...all he knew was that a black kid...robbed his pops...and that's why he became a cop. True story.

And all his fellow black cops that comment on his FB posts? They agree with him 10000%. The only black people on his timeline that disagree with him are his friends and family from BK.

:snoop: at anyone thinking more black cops will make anything better. They have to be twice as ruthless just to get accepted into the "network".

Stop lying to yourself and to others about how the President's hands are tied. We've had Presidents from Eishenhower who took on the KKK and intergrated the US Military and pushed through the Civil Rights Act in 1957, to JFK who sent over a 100 Federal troops to protect a handful of black students attending a university. And you mean to tell me the only way Obama can get a stern point across about the unjust manner blacks are being killed by cops is through riddles and rhymes? We gotta be dumb because we don't understand the reason behind him "finessing" his way around real social issues? Was he finessing or very explicit in speaking up for gays? Was he finessing or very explicit when speaking up for illegal immigrants? But we have to watch our communities killed and hope we pick up on Obama's latest verse filled with metaphors? FOH!

1. The KKK was an active terrorist group. We don't have one of those.
2. The Civil rights situation was a lot different than it is now. Racism is a problem, but its harder to put a face on. We can't even get academic whites to admit white supremacy exists, much less identify it
3. Black integration in public schools isn't as politically expedient as it is today
4. The issue facing police brutality is more nuanced than: gays can't get married or illegal immigrants seeking asylum.

Don't use these intellectually lazy arguments in here.

Because 1 is better than nothing and 10 is better than 1.

Median wealth and police brutality says otherwise

Obama write laws now?

And I dare you to advise the first black president on promoting reparations and fukking it up for any predecessor.

He could have done ANYTHING 2008-2010. He bailed out the White supremacist structure.

Well the post I was responding to said we should do away this narrative of "race" in issues like this. It's not a narrative, its the truth. What he said and what you are saying are two different things.
Yea, I guess I infused my shyt into it unintentionally. All this shyt with police brutality, and how the economic collapse has fukked our community has me weary, breh.

So the answer is to act like it isnt the real issue? White folks aren't getting choked to death, stalked in their neighborhoods, executed in broad daylight. That's black folks, nobody needs to get it confused

Nobody has it confused. You think all these ppl watching these events don't know its just white supremacy protecting their own? Like I said its a waste of time.

They act like it's wrong to be discriminatory in this county until it has to do with blk folks being done wrong.

Nice anecdote :rudy:

The problem is two-pronged:

1. not enough minority representation in law enforcement

2. not enough law enforcement reform.

I'm sad for Mike Brown, I'm sad for Eric Garner, I'm sad for Trayvon Marrin. Most of all II'm tired of being sad...

I had been thinking about getting another pistol for quite some time now. The events of the last month have convinced me. It's time to strap up!!!

At this point, this a them or me situation.

Coward? I don't even believe you're Black. If you weren't so busy doing chin-ups off Obama's scrotum you'd see the truth in the situation. You're a totally delusional, moronic hippster that's blinded because you have a man crush on the President.
Do you have a policy solution here that Obama can do to resolve the fact that the jury population of Staten Island dropped the ball?

I have one:

A revamp of the policies used to indict individuals pending charges.
