I only have one solution for this brehs. I'm being dead serious right now. But, we know it won't end. We need to protect our own. If a cop kills your loved one (son, brother, parent) and gets off for it, you need to take from them. They murder your son, you murder his son. That's the only way this shyt ends. I'm sorry but if they kill my son, I'm getting justice. I know some of you abhor violence and believe that it will solve nothing but we all just watched a man get choked to death on the streets and the cops walked free.....What else will it take for young brothas to wake up and stop shooting at each other and start defending ourselves?

Thats the only way and been the only way. The problem is we have the violator teaching our people how to be peaceful while they kill us at the same time.

I suppose it's a philosophical disagreement, as the vast majority of cases in which the term "culture vulture" is used it's bullshyt imo. Iggy is no faker than a variety of people doing pop rap right now, she isn't stealing anything, nor is she required to speak up on black shyt. And to go even farther...this is less of a race issue and more of a police brutality/justice issue. You can't expect justice with the wolf in the hen house. And that's how our system is set up. If Garner was white the same decision would be made, best believe that breh. Prosecutors go out their way NOT to indict cops for a variety of reasons, in part because cops make their jobs easier. It would be like expecting Elliot Wilson to give an honest opinion about Drake, it's not gonna happen. Likewise the public, specifically the white public, is bred to support "law and order" and blame the victim whenever a cop is involved.

At the end of the day any decent person can agree that this grand jury decision is bullshyt, the NYPD went way too fukking far, and something needs to be done.

I'm gonna say this, as black folks we need to move away from the racial narrative in these type of situations. White folks have proven they won't EVER give a damn about what happens to blk ppl. In a white supremacist system of course white ppl will look out for their own so that's never going to change in this country.

What needs to be discussed, challenged and changed is how these law enforcement officers are allowed to act in certain situations without real and severe punishment for these CRIMES. shyt needs to be put into law, on the books, stating the punishment of gunning down civilians without indisputable evidence to show an officers life was in jeopardy. That all this physicality, choking and beating etc...of civilians just to enforce MISDEMEANOR ass bullshyt charges can't be the way we keep proceeding in this country.

The problem with these protests/riots are what are we fighting against? Crooked cops? White supremacy? IF it is white supremacy, do you really think the white folk protesting with us (At least 40% of the protesters) want to take away their own privilege? The folk protesting with us are protesting most likely against crooked cops as a whole. So we have two different agendas, protesting two different ideals. And for that I can sympathize with President Obama a bit. He doesn't know what we want.

In order to organize as a collective we have to have similar ideologies on what "black" is (street dudes, suburb cats, baby mommas, married with kids, "light skinned ain't really black", mixed).We are all over the place right now.

Your severely mistaken but you are entitled to your opinion....I do agree with you on most points but race does have a position to play.

Race plays a role, I never denied that. White people are more likely to be afraid or have a negative reaction to a black person, which plays a role in white cops shooting black men (and then blaming it on the superhuman threat of the black man). That being said, our system protects cops. A ton of white people have been killed by cops in the US this year, especially in Utah, and barely any of the cops have lost their jobs, been indicted, etc. That is because our system defends cops. Prosecutors trying to become judges don't indict cops. You know how it's said if you can't join the Marines, join the army? A lot of people feel that way about law enforcement: if you can't become a cop, become a prosecutor or lawyer. Those people are going to defend the "heroes" no matter what. As we saw in Ferguson with a prosecutor who wanted to become a cop but couldn't make the cut, and then became a prosecutor.

It's a game of advancement. Arrests go up, crime goes down, and everyone involved gets promoted. Nevermind that behind the stats and numbers you have a variety of people getting thrown into the system for nothing (drugs and minor offenses) to further juke the stats. And when a cop kills someone the entire system does it's thing to make sure he doesn't see justice.

It's beyond race breh. Drug offenses may be a black exclusive racket, but cops killing people and getting away with it is quite a display of diversity. Black, white, Asian, brown...that cop is walking free no matter what color the victim is.
