So they just used LRADs on the protesters in NYC.....interesting escalation

they used that on the ferguson protestors back in August. it seems like this is the beasts new tactic on dealing with crowd control. use a sound cannon that can cause permanent hearing damage/loss

DOG WHAT UP WITH YOU DUMMB ASSES MAKING UP RULES, THAT SHYT DONT MAKE ANY SENSE! GAWD YALL SO DAMN STUPID!

You know what? You're right. I don't really know what the right thing to do is, so I'm not going to try to win some argument about it, but I don't want to see more black people hurt. Police actions have been ridiculous.

What I think is that the cops are specialists at taking down violent people. Lesley McSpadden and Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar caught heat for talking shyt. Actual acts of violence is just going to result in the PD letting a neighborhood get tore up.

It also gives people the chance to obfuscate what's going on. Look at the character assassination of Michael Brown because he shoved a store clerk around. Look at all the people saying "I hope those shop owners never go back to Ferguson". All of that nonsense when the discussion ought to be on police brutality being so bad that people couldn't take it any more. But instead disassociated people have the option of saying, "Look at those rioters, they're fukked up,"

Some of those turned off people may be racist, but you don't need to persuade everyone of the injustice. You only need to persuade enough people of the injustice that local politicians start feeling unsure about their job security. You should always go for a larger tent. I'm not saying kiss any other ethnic group's ass; they're the ones who should be coming to your side. Don't trust anyone you don't know either. I'm just saying don't turn away people who might align with you.

The New York protestors are putting in good work, and I think if they keep up the self-discipline there's a chance they'll start getting some changes made at least in that city.

These aren't rules, I just think it's the most likely chance, and it may require decades of building alliances and political participation.

"The white New York City police officer who put unarmed black Staten Island resident Eric Garner in a chokehold moments before his death has been accused by other black men of violating their civil rights while he was on patrol."

"Court filings obtained by Reuters on Friday show that four black men have sued Pantaleo over two separate 2012 incidents over claims of being stopped, strip-searched and arrested without cause.

In June 2013, Darren Collins, 46, and Tommy Rice, 42, filed a federal lawsuit against Pantaleo and a group of other New York police officers.

Collins and Rice claimed the officers stopped them as they drove on a Staten Island road. The men were ordered out of the car and handcuffed, despite a lack of reason to believe they had committed a crime, the lawsuit claimed.

:pacspit: Pantaleo and the other officers also strip searched the men in public while they were handcuffed, the lawsuit claimed.

It also claimed that Pantaleo provided false evidence against the men and that he and the other officers arrested the men to meet quotas and collect overtime, among other reasons.

Charges against Collins and Rice were later dismissed and sealed in Richmond County Criminal Court.

The city settled the lawsuit in January, according to court filings. The terms were not disclosed."

"In a separate case, Rylawn Walker and Kenneth Smith filed lawsuits in February and November against Pantaleo and other officers, claiming they were stopped without cause while walking together in Staten Island, illegally strip searched and arrested on false marijuana charges.

Walker was 19 at the time of the February 2012 incident, while Smith was 22.

The city has moved to dismiss most of the claims asserted by Rylawn Walker and has not yet responded to Smith's complaint."
