What is your GPU? Also, if you have above a gtx 1060 buy the rift or vive (depends on how much room you have. The rift uses less room, so I prefer it. But, I live in the DC are and apartments are expensive as hell and small.
Well, he better get used to 1080p graphics at ultra. He can't try to go higher in resolution, or it'll be a slideshow. He can play VR with 970 mobile GPU I think (I'm not sure though). VR gives him those exclusive games he's craving.GPU 970x

But the amount spent could have bought a beast desktop.Side note: I've noticed some console gamers buy "gaming" laptops and expect desktop-level performance. Nah, it doesn't work that way. I have a top of the line laptop (Surfacebook Pro), but I don't expect to play games on it. Laptops are for convenience and work. Desktops are for gaming and high end rendering. I dunno why so many console gamers buy laptops, when they can get so much more with a desktop
The desktop class ones require a separate plug in right? I know alienware was doing that with the desktop-level GPUs.
