The songs with Freddie Gibbs and Gunna are fire. Probably won’t listen to much of this album just because I feel like I’ve heard better from Lute and Isiah Rashad, and of course older acts like Little Brother and Skyzoo.

Bruh had to be on a LB binge because that's all I hear every other song, "Want From Me" in particular.

On the song Parables dude sounds JUST like J.Cole. I had to check to make sure he wasn’t a feature. Dude copied Cole’s flow on some Shang Tsung shyt

Truth.

He always talked about how much he looks up to Cole, but he can come across a little clone-ish, at times. Where he's sounding EXACTLY like him. He's a dope MC, but I think he'll really take off when he gets his own identity. Once he gets into that mode, a lot of rappers are going to be put on notice.

The mixing on Ems verse literally hurts my ears :hhh:

Terrible verse to boot

As someone who normally loathes Eminem I will say his verse started OUT ok but that double time flow he’s been relying on for a fukking decade is played out and at this point it feels like a crutch to hide the fact that he’s not really saying shyt.

He tends to have more to talk about on his albums. On his features, he's just trying to prove that he's the best, but he's done this so many times, it's boring. You could take his features over the last few years, switch the songs they're on, and not even be able to tell the difference.

Also, I'm starting to realize that half the time, I literally can't understand what he's saying. I don't know if it's because he does his own vocal production or that fast flow drowns out some of his words, but I noticed it here and it was distracting.

I like cordae, breh can rap his ass off, there ain’t questioning that, but the way he makes songs is so elementary. Like there’s only 3 songs that I legit would play back. Dude is really just a watered down J. Cole. Maybe he can join forces with him in the future, I’d definitely would check out day 1.

Nikka said a penny and a plan I cringed. He wears his inspirations to literally sometimes.

but if you ask me his first 2 albums over Cole first 2.

Cordae sound like a young artist and he is. Let him grow.

Cole ain't learn how to make solid albums till Forest Hill drive mixtapes aside.

You didn't like Born Sinner?

I feel different. Cole's 1st official album was hit and miss in large part of his label basically interfering. Friday Night Lights was SUPPOSED to been the debut.

However, Born Sinner was a VERY VERY GOOD ALBUM and I feel is better than Cordae's Bird's Eye View if we're comparing sophomore releases.. That said, Cordae's debut album, the Lost Boy was outstanding.

So, I look at this. J. Cole had growth from his debut to this 2nd, whereas I feel Cordae stepped back or stagnated. There wasn't anything that stood out to me with his latest release, despite having stellar production.

Amazing how Cordae and Wayne have had a video out for a while now and this y’all first time hearing Sinister

parables came out year ago. Crazy how he didn’t even add a new verse.. just added Em to the end and he still stands out more on it than Em does and the beat is retro Em style

We’ll hear the Nas verse eventually.. it’s either gonna leak or end up on an updated version of the album
