as soon as i heard that "Like Obama's kids i came out of Michelle" i RUSHED TO THE COLI to see what everyone would say and did not disappoint, the Cordae thread has been overtaken on how bad Eminem is


But on the real i never gave Cordae a chance and turns out that he's now my favorite new rapper of this era, didn't it i'd have one since i've been sticking with my faves for years. This album is real solid

Album felt quite short but I fukked with it. Production is constantly on point throughout and actually feels like a cohesive album.

"Momma's Hood" is probably the standout for me. This is a level up from "The Lost Boy" as a whole cohesive project, not sure there are any songs on here that I will like more than "RNP" though. Gonna keep this in rotation for a while.

As SOON as he started doing that double time shyt i just went “Man not again ”

Im an Em fan and I’m just getting annoyed with this shyt now. He does NOT need to be rapping like that ALL the time on damn near EVERY feature.

When I heard Cordae’s verses I was expecting Em to come on there with that same energy. Like on some “Renegade” shyt. And I KNOW he is capable of doing it cause I heard him like that on “Kamikaze” and “Music To Be Murdered By.”

But nah…he just HAS to prove to the world that he can crunch a whole bunch of words on one bar for no damn reason


When it comes to Cordae’s album? It’s cool

You have no idea how much I wanted him to kill it on "EPMD 2." Whatever hope I had went out the window the minute he started using that weird cadence (Back in business/Living in cramped conditions, we'll give you ammunition) and talking about Taco Bell and Santa Claus.

It's really strange. Ever since Kamikaze, he's gotten better with his projects. They're not next level or anything, but it's a major improvement from shyt like MMLP 2 or Revival. His features, on the other hand, still have the same problems. All of them. He doesn't know how to approach someone else's song without sounding like a robot. His voice changing over the years doesn't help, either.

But I'll give him one thing: At least he's not screaming anymore. I applaud him for getting rid of it. The last time he did it was on Kamikaze but that's because he had a reason to be pissed off.
