a lot of landlords require your income is 4 times your rent.

Not enough people can afford that. That would mean every adult have to make 6 figures annually to survive.

Landlords gotten too greedy for their own good these last 15 years in the age of Gentrification.

It’s the entire real estate market.

If you own a 2 family home that’s worth $700,000, how much would you charge for rent?

Which means to lower rent AND raise wages.

Gentrification fukked y'all minds up. Your parents weren't paying more than 10% of their monthly income on housing.

but there isn’t an unlimited supply of rentals. And every market is different. Some landlords and real estate developers target certain income types. Some target section 8 and other subsidized housing vouchers.

Basic supply demand 101. If every apartment was dirt cheap and everyone could afford them, the supply would run out. Then what?

the CDC shouldn’t have that much power. There aren’t any lockdowns. Vaccines are readily available.

this shyt is pissing me off because shyt will never get back to normal because of this half ass governing. Congress can’t draft legislation to make people get a job.

At the end of the day, people need to grind better. This pandemic has exposed poor life decisions and choices. You can fix something that was already broke.

The only legislation that would’ve have helped is increasing the federal minimum wage. Employers are already doing it to attract workers. And This was one of the best times to find a job.

and what about all that back rent people owe? Is the government going to compensate landlords?

this whole situation is one big clusterfukk, and Congress doesn’t have the will to do what really needs to be done to actually fix it.

I mean that’s the exact reason why Biden and the CDC didn’t want to extend the moratorium because of what the Supreme Court said. They didn’t lift the moratorium when they did because it was going to expire at the end of July.

Congress ran and bytched to the public in order order to forced their hand. Now what are they going to do if they still don’t have an agreement after 60 days, which likely won’t happen?

Bernie Sanders was talking about 2,000 first.
Thats where Trump got the number from.

STOP IT.

Did Democrats and Republicans not agree to the $600 stimulus just so they could all go home for the holidays?

That $2000 wasn’t going to happen if Trump didn’t try to screw over Mitch and threw Democrats a lifeline to save their election failures.
