They needed each other for that. Isn’t diddy known for contractually dikking his new artists and than hanging them out to dry if they complained and wanted out of the deals. Diddy is also known to back down once you bring the media in and make him look like a demon. Perhaps, but why is it that every artist from Bad Boy becomes a one-hot wonder that fades into obscurity? Either he targets a certain type...in which case he's an opportunist...or he's the standard industry exec but at the same time blocks them from ever being successful after him. Either way, there's something about him that drains those around him - he's the common denominator.

The Lox and Faith are the only artists that came from the Bad Boy roster that had success past 1 album. It took the Lox 2-3 years of campaigning publicly to receive some type of freedom. While every BB artist doesn't have the same fate, they still share the same fate. I'm not saying he should change his exec ways, since that's what got him there. He honestly doesn't owe them ish, but if no one that comes up under you becomes successful, that says a lot about you.
