I'm glad this happened. lol
The beef would've been back on had Nas not posted it.

:mjlol:

nah, that nikka so happy to be back in good graces. think of Mega's career without the Nas attachment.

Cormega's flow is a horrible. I'm pretty amazed that he got the career he have considering the lack of rap talent he have. I can't believe he was once held as one the illest from qb when you have cats like nas hav pee trag capone running around. Even nature was way better.
What saved him was his ear for beats, ability to put albums together, being from qb and his charisma. Even his lyrics don't got nothing special. In fact in its early days I was waiting for mega to be the hardcore cat a la 50 cent givin his background but he became somewhat of a wise man but I find it odd.
But at the end of the day I still like mega and he deserve respect for the drive he got to have a successful career despite all the trials and obstacles throw in his way

you pretty much feel the same way about Mega as I do, but I would add in that he has benefited from the Nas connection, from One Love, to the response, through the beefs with Nas and Firm/Nature. I like Mega too, and he has to be respected. Nature is way better lyrically and flow, but Mega makes way better music....outside of For All Seasons

Dope album. Hard to rank this against his previous joints. Lyrically he sounds mature and interesting doesn't cuss much. No skippables.

yeah.

Mega is a peculiar dude. He is an arrogant dude that pretends to be super-humble. he handled this album like it was a release from the late 90's. album was done since spring iirc. White Roses was on Sha Money XL album last year (1st verse). like if it takes him this long (havent made an album in like 8 years) then he shouldve came better than a 34 min runtime. album was over-preachy. not one song caught my attention to make me want to hear it again. the production is great, which his albums usual have. outside of the production, this album ranks lower on his discog. he has much better flow and topic/storytelling in his previous works. after running this 3x, I am really not sure what the theme of this album is. supposed to be a sequel but I dont get it. AZ was gone a long time too and even though his album was kinda up and down...his highs were pretty high. this album was 3 out of 5 starts at best and just cant hold my attention with all the other music that comes out weekly.
I can def see that, and wish there were more storytelling or shyt talking tracks to lighten things up. Still a dope album.

The beat selection is really solid and you can tell Mega took his time to craft this project. However, I can’t act like I wasn’t bored listening to some of this album. Mega use to rap with a certain hunger that made up for his rap voice, which was never really great imo. The nygga is in his 50s so I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.

I wish he would oversee someone like an AZ’s album, who would benefit from someone like Cormega executive producing it.
