Yet you'd probably be the one cheerleading Vince Young when he said that black qbs arent viewed differently because Vince didn't want to rock the boat.

YEt here you are dissing RGIII who said he was knows how black qbs are wrongly viewed from jump and that's who you diss.

:salute:
True but :aicmon:Vince ain't a cornball brother and he has to be PC since he is not a black that cacs love.

RGIII went out just like every other Tom before him... trying to appease cacs

Good that he got thrown to the bushes but at the same time ESPN had to have known in the producers meeting surely. Which is why its weird they even announced he got released for those reasons on Sportscenter

:stopitslime: we all know Vince couldn't say much of anything because he wasn't as well like as RGIII. Vince had a coach who tried his hardest to keep him out of the starting lineup.

RGIII on the other hand was a good little slave boy that did everything his master told him. It was like watching the Mandingo fighters fight for master Candie in Django

So who had more to lose IN saying something?

Im surprised by this response --- I would have figured that you of all people would take inventory of the larger implications and significance of this.

While I thought Parker's comments were needlessly inflammatory, and im no huge fan of his personally, its hard to ignore the flagrant double standards. White talent has routinely pushed buttons to a very offensive degree, namely Colin Cowherd and his "black fathers" angle, and Greenberg's Martin Luther c00n 'slip of the tongue', to little consequence, much less a firing.

Im aware that there are other variables at work, the white talent mentioned are more high profile and important to the bottom line than a contributer, the fact remains that we shouldnt allow for such inconsistencies in treatment. I hope Parker doesnt take this lying down.

Rob Parker being fired doesn't make me any more happy about ESPN keeping Cowherd's dumb ass on.

of course you can point out a "I gotcha word or statement" but the reality is that Vince never exhibited any kind of traits of an Uncle Tom. Vince was a heavily criticized qb who the media tried to critique everything he said. We all know some people can get away with saying something that another person can't so let us be honest here.

ON the other hand, RGIII has exhibited some traits of an Uncle Tom with being a Republican, white wife, ect.. Now Im not saying those make him an Uncle Tom, Im just saying those are some traits

But at the end of the day, he got what he wanted. Now he can be a good little pocket passer that CACs feel QBs should be and he doesn't have to worry about being compared to the other black QBs. SMH

BTW: Are you black?

This niqqa here is seriously asking me if I'm black now? :what:

Second....you're not saying he's an uncle tome...but just saying he's showing traits of an uncle tom, while ignoring the guy who danced away from race while the other took it head on.

:heh:

You're incredible.

"I want to be the second black qb to win the Super Bowl" - Vince Young after he was thrown to the bushes when it was evidenced that his tap dancing didn't save him

"Warren Moon and Doug Williams really didn't run that much. That's the negative stereotype when it comes to African-American quarterbacks, that most of us just run. Those guys threw it around. I like to think I can throw it around a little bit." - RGIII when still beloved by the white media some claim HE'S tap dancing for

One of these negroes gets it while the other got it when he realized they didn't care for him. And you're riding for the first...

:smh:

:smh:

:aicmon: actions speak louder than words. Yea you can throw a couple quotes to prove your point but you are going disregard his actions. Yea RGIII said he doesn't want to be viewed as a stereotypical black QB but he allowed himself to be used like one by running the spread option and potentially ruining his career. Looks like Shanahan had RGIII out there tap dancing :mjpls:

Again are you black?

Heard a shock jock say it and it's seems right on; They suspended him so they could review his contract and see how they could fire him.

Yup, regardless of how you feel personally about Rob Parker's comments, this was no doubt a set up by ESPN.
